Exercise bike used to aid patient's recovery
Critically ill patients at Portsmouth's Queen Alexandra Hospital are being put on an exercise bike to help speed up their recovery.
In trials, some have cycled up to three miles a day while they are still in intensive care.
The bike can even be used by patients in a coma.
Consultant Dr Kayode Adeniji said early rehabilitation can help shorten the length of time patients spend in intensive care.
